Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of expTracker, a personal finance journal for recording income, expenses, diary entries, savings goals, plans, and events. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
1. Using the app
Use expTracker only for lawful personal record keeping. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, protecting access to your device and accounts, and keeping any exported backups safe.
2. Google Drive and backups
If you connect Google Drive, you authorize expTracker to use the requested Google permission to create, read, and update its backup in your account’s private app-data area. Signing out does not delete that backup. Keep an additional export if you need an independent copy. Sync can be interrupted by connectivity, account, provider, or device issues.
3. Optional AI and API keys
AI features are optional and use the provider and API key you configure. You are responsible for the key, your provider account, any usage charges or limits, and compliance with that provider’s terms. Do not enter a key that you are not authorized to use.
AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You are responsible for checking suggested transactions and other AI output before relying on it or adding it to your records.
4. Not professional advice
expTracker and its AI features provide organizational tools and general information. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, medical, or mental-health advice, and they do not replace advice from a qualified professional. You make your own decisions about money and other matters.
5. Your content
You retain your rights to the records and notes you enter. You give the app permission to store and process that content only as needed to provide the features you choose, including local storage, Google Drive backup, and AI requests you initiate. See the Privacy Policy for details.
6. Availability and changes
The app is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may change, be interrupted, or become unavailable. Keep copies of important records and verify that a backup completed before relying on it. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
